After the Earthquake on April 30 2024, SMPN 3 Pangalengan was immediately built, the Deputy Headmaster expressed his thanks

Bandung, Sabisnis.com – The earthquake that hit Bandung Regency in April 2024 damaged several buildings, including SMPN 3 Pangalengan.

This condition forced the school to find a solution so that the teaching and learning process could continue.

Responding to this emergency situation, Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna immediately responded quickly after the Rembug Bedas event in Pangalengan District on Wednesday (04/09/2024).

He advised the school to look for an empty house or madrasah close to the school to be used as a temporary classroom. The construction of two new classrooms has also been budgeted and will begin next week, he said.

On the other hand, the Acting Head of Pangalengan District, Vena Andriawan, expressed his appreciation for the quick response from the Bandung Regent.

He also emphasized that the school had been summoned to discuss short-term and long-term solutions.

“Alhamdulillah, the Bandung Regent immediately responded quickly. This afternoon, he summoned the school and gave directions to immediately look for a representative madrasah building or empty house,” said Vena.

This quick step is expected to ease the burden on students and teachers of SMPN 3 Pangalengan.

The construction of new classrooms is also expected to improve the quality of education in the Pangalengan area, which still lacks junior and senior high schools.

“Hopefully with this quick response, the education problems at SMPN 3 Pangalengan can be resolved immediately.

This is very important to improve the quality of education in Pangalengan, which still lacks senior high schools,” added Vena.

Deputy Principal of Facilities for SMPN 3 Pangalengan Helma Hidayat expressed his gratitude to the Bandung Regency Government, especially the Bandung Regent and the Bandung Regency Education Office, Acting Pangalengan Sub-district Head for the quick response and support given.
