Bandung Regency, Sabisnis.com – The Bandung Regency Government through the Bandung Regency Social Service distributed basic food packages for extremely poor KPM (Beneficiary Families) at risk of stunting in Pangalengan Village, Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency, on Monday, September 2, 2024.
The contents of the basic food package consisted of 5 kg of medium rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, 4 cans of instant milk, 1 can of corned beef, and 1 kg of granulated sugar.
However, it turned out that the assistance was disappointing for the Beneficiary Families (KPM) because the quality of the rice distributed was questionable (allegedly bad rice).
One Pangalengan resident who did not want to be named expressed his concerns.
“I don’t dare to cook rice because it is a bit black, and I get complaints from relatives who receive similar assistance that the rice cooked from the rice smells bad, tastes bitter, and is not fit for consumption,” he said.
“Even though we are poor, we also want to get decent assistance,” said KPM.
“If the rice is like this, I’m afraid it will cause disease. We have a feeling, if for example we were given one liter, we would want good quality, so it would be good to eat. This definitely won’t be eaten, at most it will be used as animal feed.”
This incident raises questions about the quality of basic food assistance provided by the Bandung Regency Social Service.
We hope that the relevant parties will immediately follow up on this complaint and ensure that if there is further assistance provided, it is truly fit for consumption, KPM hopes.

Kualitas Beras Jelek, Bantuan Sembako Di PangalenganTuai Kekecewaan Para KPM
